Karolien Lenaerts

Karolien, an economist, is a research manager in the Work, Organisation and Social Dialogue Research Group at KU Leuven’s Research Institute for Work and Society (HIVA). Her research focuses on the impact of digitalisation on the labour market, working and employment conditions of (platform) workers, social protection, workers’ representation and participation, and skills needs in innovative business clusters.

Karolien is the UNTANGLED Project Manager and a member of the Executive Committee. She is also a leader of WP2: Framework and joint infrastructure, and WP7: Synthesis and policy.
