Oliver Roethig

Oliver Roethig has led UNI Europa, the European service workers union with 7 million members, as its Regional Secretary since 2011. He serves on the Executive Committee of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and of the Management Committee of the European Trade Union Institute, as well as the Executive Board of UNI Global Union, which represents 20 million workers worldwide. Mr Roethig was a member of the European Commission’s high-level working group on business services (2013-2014). He studied political science, industrial relations, history and law at the universities of Bonn and Aberdeen and graduated from the London School of Economics.
