IPLE

The Institute of Population and Labour Economics (IPLE), affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), is one of China’s top labour economics institutions.

IPLE research areas include employment and wages; social security; labour relations; human resources; and population ageing. IPLE leads two influential surveys in China: the China Urban Labour Survey (CULS) and the China Employer-Employee Survey (CEES). IPLE scholars also serve as advisors to Chinese government ministries.
