RWI is a leading centre for economic research and evidence-based policy advice in Germany. Through its research, RWI provides information on economic development, assists economic policy decision-making and fosters economic literacy among the wider public. RWI explores a wide array of topics such as labour markets, education, migration, health, environment, development, and the macroeconomy. The Labour Markets, Education, Population research unit studies labour economics and labour market policies. The determinants of the labour market outcomes (employment, wages, etc.) of individuals are of particular interest, and include factors such as technological change, labour market institutions and policies.
