European and national policymakers must take decisive action to ensure the economic boost generated by increased digital transformation is shared fairly across regions, sectors, and occupations, a new Project UNTANGLED study recommends.

As European employers grapple with a shortage of skills, decision makers must implement policies that support lifelong learning, tailor-made reskilling programmes, and new attitudes toward adult education, according to a recommendation from the EU-funded UNTANGLED research project.

Prof. Dr. Melanie Arntz, Deputy Head of ZEW’s Labour Markets and Social Insurance Research Unit, will deliver a keynote address at the final conference of the Project UNTANGLED, to be held on 23 November in Leuven, Belgium.
